All: I have set up discussion areas for the next three months:
December... me, Ammonite by Nicola Griffith
January... @BarnerCobblewood, Antimimetics Division by various authors
February... @clash_bowley, Nada the Lily by H. Rider Haggard
Hi all, looks like discussion about the Arthurian Romances is dying down, though there's still plenty of time to revitalise it! This is a quick reminder that December's read is Ammonite, by Nicola Griffith, selected by me. Discussion to start early in the New Year depending how people are getting on with mixing reading and festivities and family gatherings.
Hi all, I know @kcaryths has finished - and of course it has been the holiday season - but how are folk getting on with Ammonite? I can post discussion starters this coming weekend or leave it a week?
How is everyone doing with the Antimimetics? I was thinking that I might just post 2 questions to begin, hoping that we can have freer discussion that connects elements together. But if people are more comfortable with the other format, I can do that instead. Let me know what you think. BC
I will not be participating. Real life and gaming have conspired to keep me from reading this! It's not that I didn't like it - I was not able to even get started! I should be fine in February, but January was a bitch!

Sorry to hear that @clash_bowley - I had some thoughts I would have liked to hear your reaction to. Drop in on the discussion anyway if you like.
I will - I'm sorry I couldn't participate more! I was really looking forward to it!
I've posted 4 discussion points for the Antimimetics, and will be posting my initial thoughts on each one over the course of the afternoon. I wanted to have fewer topics because I wanted to try having "looser" topics so that there might be more cross-fertilisation among our ideas. So don't feel obligated to respond directly to questions, and feel free to take the discussion in whatever direction you like.
Small concern over its length (~430pp), but we’ve read longer. If it’s a concern for others, please say so.
As always, I’ve got tons of books I can choose from.
But this one sounded really intriguing.
It's funny, I had never heard of it before you mentioned it and now I have heard of it from a few different people in the past couple days. I think I like the idea of it.

Questions finally up. Have at them!
And apologies for the abbreviated nature of some of these questions. I thought it better to get them out than delay more to polish them.

Just wrapped up Ammonite.

I am almost done with it. Should be finished today or tomorrow.
Happy new year!
I'm afraid this is another book I couldn't finish: I wasn't interested enough in what happened. So start the discussion when you like.
Slightly behind because of a family get-together but should be posted tomorrow
Discussion starters for Ammonite now posted
Just a quick reminder that January's read is Antimemetics Division Hub selected by @BarnerCobblewood - the website is https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/antimemetics-division-hub - other formats provided by @neilnjae
epub
kindle mobi
Discussion on Ammonite seems largely finished though was disrupted by the site outage so please feel free to add comments (@clash_bowley?)
I finished it today
And feel free to frame the discussion any way you like, as far as I’m concerned.
All: at present we have @BarnerCobblewood 's starters for Antimemetics in a few days, then February's read is Nada the Lily chosen by @clash_bowley .
The current sequence has:
March @kcaryths
April @Apocryphal
May @NeilNjae
I also finished it.
I will not be participating. Real life and gaming have conspired to keep me from reading this! It's not that I didn't like it - I was not able to even get started! I should be fine in February, but January was a bitch!
@NeilNjae how's it coming?
@Apocryphal when do you think you'll have wrapped up?
I will - I'm sorry I couldn't participate more! I was really looking forward to it!
I've finished, so feel free to start whenever. As for format, I'm happy to experiment.

We'll see how it goes. BC
Looks good to me. I assume you've read it - any concerns about the length?

I'll come up with an idea by this weekend for my next book.
No I'm not worried about it. The marketing / hype is pretty aggressive. Hope it will live up to it.
