Ki Khanga Sword and Soul Role Playing Game: Basic Rules
A while back we read an Imaro novel that features an African hero in Conan-like adventures.
After some research I found a Sword & Soul RPG called Ki Khanga but it was a KS, which I don't back anymore. The product is now up for direct sale by the authors (see link below). Has anyone read the rpg ? What were your impressions about the system?
Second question : Are you aware of other RPGs by Afroamerican authors or African authors?
Comments
Found these two articles about the game. Do you agree with the author's critic?
A review of the RPG :

And a review of the short story anthology by the same authors :

Never heard of this game. I would have liked to learn more about the mechanics - card based, it seems, from watching a bit of the AP video. I think 170pp is a fine length for an RPG. A game like this does need to devote some time to setting, and 170 pages should be enough to do that if the rules are not too heavy.
In African American games, I do know about Darker Hue Studios, which scored a hit with this product:

@dr_mitch and I recently backed this book on a similar theme - perhaps less specifically Saunders inspired.

Awesome sauce! I'm mostly a sci-fi fan. Currently playing Coriolis the Third Horizon because of its its arab-centric nature. This could be my next game.
Jerry Grayson (author of Bastion, as mentioned by @Apocryphal above) has been writing RPGs for a while. I'm a fan of Hellas, his "ancient Greeks in space" setting (yes, really). He also wrote and published the current edition of Atlantis: The Second Age, a swords and sorcery RPG.
I was beaten to it with Orun.
